In recent years Buchan Special Projects have worked with clients who have a requirement for high quality refurbished work.

This may involve general decoration and minor works through to major structural alterations.

The majority of this work comes as a direct result of facilitating new build projects together witht the client having a requirement for general improvements and a ´face-lift´ to existing areas.

We can facilitate all I. T. and data requirements, so that the finished project fully meets the clients requirements with the minimum of disruption.

One of our recently completed projects was for Shobnall Primary School in staffordshire, where the governors decided there was a requirement to enlarge the existing hall. This work involved major structural alterations to a Victorian building.

The works comprised of the demolition of both structural and partition walls, relocation of services and removal of old suspended ceilings in order to expose the original Victorian roof structure.

Major temporary works involved propping the roof structure to allow installation of support steelwork. Other work included decoration, floor finishes and the installation of an acoustic sliding folding partition.

The project was completed in five weeks during the summer holidays giving the school time to prepare the area for the return of pupils.
